It was a mixed bag for the Victoria Generals this weekend, wrapping up a sweep of the Alexandria Aces with a 7-2 win on Saturday night, only to drop one to the Brazos Valley Bombers 6-2 on Father's Day. The Bombers seem to have the Generals number, having beaten the Generals 4 out of the 5 losses the team has suffered this season. The Generals record has fallen to 8-5, while the Bombers improved to 11-2.

Saturday night, the Generals Jordan Pacheco picked up his 3rd win of the season, allowing only 1 run on 5 hits, and striking out 6. Klyle Chaskin gave up 1 run in 2 innings of work, and Jake McMurtry finished the 9th in scoreless fashion.

On Father's Day, the Generals couldn't maintain that winning momentum, as the Bombers continued their league-leading ways in the 6-2 win.  Next up for the Generals, the Woodlands Strykers come to town tonight at 7:05pm in the first game of a two-game series.  It's also Family Discount Night at the Generals game, where families geta  free youth ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket.

Game two of the series will be played on Tuesday night at 7:05pm.  It's also Free Ticket Tuesday presented by Caterpillar.  All fans will get in for free to Tuesday night's game courtesy of Caterpillar.
