The Victoria Generals are off to a great start on the young Texas Collegiate League baseball season, despite falling to the Acadiana Cane Cutters 12-8 last night at Riverside Stadium.

The Cutters put up 12 runs on 10 hits, and were helped by 9 walks and 3 errors on their way to the win.

With the loss, the Generals fall to 8-3 on the season and the Cane Cutters improve to 4-7.

The two teams will meet again tonight for game two of the series at 7:05m at Riverside Stadium. It's Wingstop Winning Wednesday. If the Generals win tonight, fans will be able to redeem their ticket stub for free admission to the next home Wednesday game. Baseball Wingo cards will be available for purchase at the gate for $1 each.
