Tony Romo…Broadcaster, Pro Golfer?

Tony Romo, former quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, went from "what team will he sign with," to color commentator for CBS and now, he's out to play pro golf.

The former Cowboy has joined the field of over 9,000 golfers that have signed up to play in the U.S. Open. He'll be trying to qualify anyway, with an 18-hole qualifier at Split Rail Links and Golf Club west of Ft. Worth this Monday. If he qualifies, he'll move on to sectional qualifying on June 5th. The US. Open plays at Erin Hills in Wisconsin.

This isn't anything new for Romo, who made it through a local qualifier in 2010, where he and only one other golfer out of 35 advanced. Romo opened with a 71 but, he withdrew after 2 weather-related delays.
