‘The Hobbit’ Tickets Go On Sale Wednesday

'The Hobbit' doesn't hit theaters until Nationally until December 14th, but  you can always check out the Midnight showing on December 13th at Cinemark 12. If you're of the lot that likes to be prepared, we've got good news for you. This week, you can actually buy your tickets and get yourself all set for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' plus the three films in the original 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy re-release (in case you need to bone up on your Tolkien).

Tickets for 'The Hobbit' go on sale this Wednesday, November 7th in the United States and Canada. The big-screen marathon of the extended cuts of the original 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy will take place on December 8-9th and those tickets will also go on sale on Wednesday.

And if you're buying tickets, you might want to get tickets for 'The Hobbit' in the new 48 fps format. (What is 48 fps? It's the technology that ups the frames-per-second from the standard 24 to 48 that allegedly creates "a more lifelike image and truer illusion of continuous movement.") The second film in the 'Hobbit' trilogy, 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' is set for release in December, 2013, with the final film, 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again,' set for release in July 2014.
