The Motor City Madman just made the easiest $16,000 in Rock & Roll, by being paid by the city of Longview, Texas to not play there. Wait, what?!?

Yep, the outspoken Ted Nugent was slated to appear at the city's annual Fourth of July Festival, but city officials decided the Nuge was "not the right feel for this kind of community event."

That according to a report from KLTV, which went on to say that the rocker had been slated to headline the local Independence Day Celebration at the Maude Cobb Convention Center for a price of $32,000, and to break the deal the town had to pay Nugent half of the agreed fee.

The action stems from recent statements from the outspoken Nugent, who has been removed from other appearances after making inflammatory political statements.
