Talk About a Bargain, Man Sells Mercedes Benz for $20

I'm sure you've looked for a good used car before, searching the want ads, checking websites, hoping to find that gem that's for sale at a ridiculous price. This is not one of those stories. No, this is the story of an unbelievable deal falling into a guy's lap.Okay, granted its not your average Joe we're talking about here, it's an NFL coach. An NFL coach who also happens to be very generous to a co-worker. Ray Horton was a secondary coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers, at least until recently, when Horton was named the new defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals.

Maurice Matthews is a cafeteria worker for the Steelers organization, and on Horton's last day before heading off to his new job, he visited the cafeteria one last time. According to a published report, Matthews said that Horton asked him how much money he had in his pocket. "I got $20" was Matthews' response, to which Horton said "sold for $20", as he handed over the keys to his red 1999 Mercedes Benz SL 500 convertible.

Thinking the coach was joking with him, Matthews asked Horton to "stop playing with me." Horton told Matthews "hey, you always liked the car, you're a good dude, I know you'll take care of it. It's yours."

The stunned Matthews gave Horton a ride to the airport the next day, and that's when Horton gave him all the paperwork.

Matthews said he is still in shock.

Can you imagine?  Hell, the best deal I ever got was when I bought my former bosses  '74 Oldsmobile Cutlass for $400 in 1982.
