Kid Rock Announces '$20 Best Night Ever' U.S. Tour

Just like the good 'ol days before gas was over $3 a gallon and a good steak was only around $10, and concert tickets were usually $20 or less. Those days are back, at least to a certain extent when Kid Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band embark on a summer U.S. tour that will feature fan-friendly ticket prices. The trek kicks off June 28 in Bristow, Va. and will wind around the country before wrapping up Sept. 15 in Tampa, Fla. Support bands on select dates will include Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker.

The rock and roll machine known as ZZ Top are hitting the road this summer, and believe it or not, there are no Texas dates. Wait, what?!? Yes, it's true. The Top hasn't scheduled any dates in their home state. I'm an optimist, so I can only assume they will add more dates to the tour. Dates for the 'La Futura.' The tour kick off May 2 and run through the 25th.

That lil' ol' band from Tejas ZZ Top and the progressive metal group Queensryche are among the acts confirmed to appear at this year's Sturgis Rally concert at the Buffalo Chip Music Festival. Billed as the "largest music festival in motorcycling," the annual event features a mix of classic rock and country acts. This year's rally takes place Aug. 2-11 in South Dakota.

Man, I love me some ZZ Top. From back in the day when they basically had 1 song getting national airplay, to the blues-infused depth of the tracks that never make it to the radio, this band is a Rock & Roll institution. They're out on the road right now, and we've got a look at a recent show in Ohio.

ZZ Top put on a fine little show in Akron, Ohio last night (Oct. 3). Call it human nature or American greed, but there's still a few complaints we'd like to register with the proper Texas authorities.

I go way back with ZZ Top, ever since their first album hit stores in 1970, I knew this was a band I wanted to hear more of.

I guess they really started to get national notice after the release of 'Tres Hombres' in 1973. That's when I was lucky enough to see them in concert, and man, what a great concert. I was fortunate enough to see them a couple more times since then, and they never fail to deliver.

The question has remained for a long time...when would we get some new music?

After what seems like decades of enticing progress reports from the recording studio, ZZ Top's first new album in eight years, 'La Futura,' has arrived.

The flood of "return to glory" talk may run counter to the proper enjoyment of this record, which after all that time and effort somewhat surprisingly reveals itself as more of a low-key and charming affair.
