Thank God we don't have to worry about it here in south Texas. Of course, back in my day, all we had was a snow shovel to use. A plow would have been great, but this little "baby" plow isn't much help.</p>

<p><em>The following schedule applies for Thursday:</em><br />
Schools that normally release at 2:50 will release at 12:00<br />
Schools that normally release at 3:10 will release at 12:10<br />
Schools that normally release at 3:30 will release at 12:30<br />
Schools that normally release at 4:00 will release at 1 p.m.</p>
<p>Sporting and extracurricular events for Thursday evening have been cancelled and will be rescheduled.</p>
<p>Supervisors will alert employees to their release time from work on Thursday. All employees should report to work on their usual starting time on Thursday.</p>
<p>For Friday, all offices and schools in VISD will be closed for the day. Limited personnel will be asked to report to work on Friday. Those essential position personnel will be notified by their supervisor.</p>
<p>School related events that were scheduled for Friday will be rescheduled.</p>
<p>The Grand Opening Celebration for the Victoria Fine Arts Center will be scheduled for another date. All previously purchased tickets will be honored.</p>
