Gina Walker needed blood transfusions of 540 units of blood and blood products, which amounts to about 35 gallons of blood. Needless to say, that is huge. It reminded me of how important it is to the area that we have the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center here in Victoria, and how much they mean to the community.
