New School Traffic Woes

I was reading in the Victoria Advocate that there were 14,200 students that started the new school year at V.I.S.D. schools yesterday, and when I was dropping off my eager student at Howell Middle School, I got the impression that about 95% of those students were going there. Needless to say, the traffic was horrible.

According to a new study, drivers in the 10 worst cities for traffic spend anywhere from 30 to 58 hours a year trapped in their cars going exactly nowhere.

Have you ever been driving along on Loop 463 or the Houston Highway and you came up on a car driving too slowly? Frustrating, isn't it? Especially if that car happens to be moseying along in the passing lane. You want to tell the driver come on, let's go! I'd like to get home before nightfall! Some of us actually have lives, dammit! I sure wish I would see the police deal with it this way.
