Back-to-back shutouts put the Victoria Generals back on a winning track over the Acadiana Cane Cutters 3-0 yesterday, and 4-0 on Saturday. Tyler Schnuriger gave up only 4 hits in 7 innings with 7 strikeouts in his first win of the season, while Trae Davis closed out the game in stellar fashion in the final 2 innings
The Victoria Generals are back in action and off to a great start, but lost their first game so far this season, dropping one to the Brazos Valley Bombers 6-4 Monday night at Riverside Stadium. Pitcher Jordan Harrison had a great game going, allowing just 2 hits and an earned run in 6 innings. Corey Holmes was his relief, but the Generals gave up 3 runs in the 7th inning to tie, and 2 more later to get the win for the Bombers.
