Ozzy Osbourne joined together with Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor today to announce the combination of their respective festivals into one huge metal event this fall.

Earlier this year, guitarist Jim Root sat out Stone Sour's tour with the reason given that he was concentrating his efforts on writing music for Slipknot's next album. However, now the band has announced that it has parted ways with Root.
Slipknot had such an enjoyable time playing 2013's Ozzfest in Japan that they took a page out of the book and relocated Knotfest to Japan for 2014. The second staging of the Slipknot-organized event will take place Nov. 15 and 16 at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Tokyo and the first two acts joining Slipknot have been revealed.
