Nikki Sixx is a man of many passions -- music, radio host, writing and in recent years photography. The Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. bassist has increasingly shared his photographic exploits over the years and he's now partnered with Leica Camera to shoot photos for a two-part interview and photography series.
The guys from Motley Crue have spent the last couple of years hinting that retirement is on the horizon, and bass guitarist Nikki Sixx recently went so far as to say the band would be hanging it up after one more album and tour. It's turning out to be quite the productive and creatively rewarding trip for Nikki Sixx as he enjoys his travels in Australia. Sixx is currently touring Down Under with Motley Crue and he's been using his downtime to work through new music.
Bassist, author and radio host Nikki Sixx will be able to add "actor" to his resume. The Motley Crue member will appear in 'Shoot'er,' a film by P.R. Brown, who has directed several Crue videos. You can watch the trailer below.

It's one of the defining hits of the power ballad era and a standout in the Motley Crue catalog, but according to Nikki Sixx, the band had to fight just to release 'Home Sweet Home' on an album -- and if it hadn't been for MTV, it might never have become the lighter-waving favorite we all remember today.
With Motley Crue's summer-long tour with fellow rock titans Kiss wrapping up, we caught up with the band's bassist, songwriter, author, fashion designer, photographer, radio host and all-around renaissance man, Nikki Sixx.
