NFL Stadiums Could Get Laser First-Down Markers
NFL fans could see laser first-down markers like those currently visible on television broadcasts also used in stadiums in the future. (Insert bad Dr. Evil impression saying "lasers" here)

Former Oakland Raiders head coach Bill Callahan has denied an allegation by two of his star players that he "sabotaged" the team in Super Bowl XXXVII by making a late change to the game plan.
As most Texans fans are this time of year, I find myself disappointed that the last few weeks of the season go so well for the team. Lets face it, they shut down and in a big way. But what happened? Well, for starters, they played good teams and that exposed quite a few flaws in an otherwise stellar season
In the vein of conspiracy theories often suggested by late Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, two former star wide receivers of the NFL franchise believe that their head coach intentionally changed the game plan so his team would lose Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003.
The New England Patriots come up short again in their quest for another Super Bowl ring, but instead of talking about the Ravens' success it seems all anyone cares about is New England coach Bill Belichick's attitude after the game.
The San Francisco 49ers rallied past the Atlanta Falcons for the NFC title, and the Baltimore Ravens upset the New England Patriots for the AFC crown. San Francisco and Baltimore, coached by brothers Jim and John Harbaugh respectively, will meet in Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3 in New Orleans. Here's a recap of Sunday's conference title games:
Coaching brothers John and Jim Harbaugh are set to square off in the Super Bowl next month when the Ravens and the 49ers meet in the big game. This is every brother's dream, fulfilled; a nationally televised competition to see which brother reigns supreme, fueled by a combination of sibling rivalry and professional glory. It's also not the only time in history that it's happened.
As if losing in the NFC Championship game weren't bad enough, an unlucky Atlanta Falcons fan was stabbed by a San Francisco 49ers fan outside the Georgia Dome after the 49ers 28-24 victory on Sunday night.
It's NFL Conference Championship time again, and again this year, no Texas teams are represented. Congratulations to the Houston Texans who made it to the second round again, this time with starting Quarterback Matt Schaub intact, but who unfortunately couldn't get past the New England Patriots.
The Dallas Cowboys on the other hand, didn't make the playoffs, after another rather mediocre season. Where does the fault lie? Is it Tony Romo? Is it Jason Garrett? Is it Jerry Jones?
Now that the NFC and AFC championships have been determined, who has more on the line: Ray Lewis or Tony Gonzales?
Baltimore beat Denver in an instant playoff classic, and San Francisco dominated Green Bay in the NFC. Here's a recap of Saturday's NFL action:
Normally we would be knee deep into the NHL season by now, but the puck will drop later this month on a new season thanks to the lockout, which ended last weekend. And the NFL playoffs are in full swing.
So what are you more pumped for -- the NHL's return, or the NFL playoffs?
