CORRECTION: Ryan Wenzel has contacted us to clarify that he was the one who shot the video and was not actually the one performing the Subway Pole Dancing, as noted on the NY Daily News website:

The video, which was posted on YouTube and later Gawker.com Thursday, was taken Wednesday night by Ryan Wenzel, 26. He was headed home from "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue" - ironically, a ballet performance that featured a stripper - when a crowd of people walked on the train and began the impromptu show.

The big news in public transportation this week was 26-year old Ryan Wenzel (not pictured), who captured a video of what appeared to be an impromptu pole dance on New York City's L Train.

While the show may have seemed spontaneous, it turns out it was actually part of a shoot for an upcoming Girl Talk video.

Stunt man Richie Magic is officially a world record holder after he extinguished 70 lit cigarettes in only 60 seconds - in his mouth.

Initially, his attempt was supposed to be part of the roll out for New York City's new ban on smoking in public places. However, because it was discovered that Magic still smokes - as you will hear in the video below, nicotine oozes off of his voice - he was forced to perform his sickening stunt without much pomp or circumstance.

There was a major thunderstorm that raged through New York City on Tuesday night. The rain came pouring down and the thunder slammed loudly throughout the night.

A lot of dogs were hiding under beds, children were scared, and adults were pretending not to be. The storm was so crazy that New York's most famous landmark, The Empire State Building, was struck by lightning at least three times -- and even cooler than that, it was caught on video!
