Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete Kills' is back on track after a potentially disastrous lawsuit threatened to shut down production entirely, and one aspect of the film we can all look forward to is the return of multiple characters from the first film. Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez will be reprising their roles, but it seems that 'Machete Kill'-ed Lindsay Lohan -- meaning she won't be coming back.

We questioned at first whether Alexa Vega could handle a role in Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete Kills,' especially when that said role answers to the name of Killjoy. 'Spy Kids' doesn't exactly qualify as action movie experience, but as Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan remind us with their daily shenanigans, everyone has to grow up at some point... Sofia Vergara will be adding her acting “assets” to the upcoming Robert Rodriguez sequel ‘Machete Kills,’ with Danny Trejo returning as the knife-wielding ex-federale who has to try and prevent global war from happening by stopping a terrorist and arms dealer from launching a missile.
