The members of Aerosmith have a tour and a new album to keep themselves busy these days. Guitarist Brad Whitford is busier than most, what with his side gig as a member of the Experience Hendrix tribute show, but he still made time to check in from the road in a new three-minute video.

What can you say about Jimi Hendrix? I mean, besides the fact that he was one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived? How about the fact that he was one of the most innovative players, practically re-inventing the way guitarists play the instrument, and changed the face of rock & roll forever? And did I mention the countless other guitar players he influenced? A guy like that is the true definition of a legend.

I am a huge Jimi Hendrix fan. I don't think any guitarist was more innovative in his day, and he set the standard for what a guitarist could be, as evidenced by techniques that are still used today. He lived fast, and died way too soon, but at least we have his music. Well fans, if you just can't get enough, there's more music on the way!
