This week, two new flicks hit theaters. The first is a spooky thriller about a family terrorized by a mysterious force, while the other is an action tale about a father determined to save his son.
It's a busy weekend at theaters, with four new flicks contending for your precious movie dollars. Two of them tell thrilling tales of love in the South (though in very different fashion), John McClane returns for another round, and there's also a new animated adventure about good guys and bad guys in space.

If you're thinking about heading to the movies this weekend, there's a lot to choose from. Studios are trying to get all their releases in before the December 31 Oscar deadline, and they're also vying for your precious holiday dollar.
