Arnold Schwarzenegger is the President of the United States of America…in a movie, at least. The action icon and former Governator of California has joined the cast of Kung Fury, the upcoming feature film based on David Sandberg’s 2015 short film of the same name. Schwarzenegger is the latest name to join the full-length version of the cult favorite, which is set in the ’80s and pays homage to the martial arts and cop flicks of the era.

The Governator will play a Federal Marshal in the Old West in ‘Outrider,’ an event series coming soon.

If there’s anyone you don’t want to piss off, it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger. If your delivering pizza to his house, don’t forget the bread sticks. If there’s one parking space left at the mall, you better give it to Arnold. And if you’re the air traffic controller in charge of making sure a plane holding his wife and kid lands safely, you better not screw up. Too bad Scoot McNairy didn’t get the memo.

Arnold Schwarzenegger appearing in a new action film isn’t exactly surprising news, but it’s always exciting. But his latest project should make plenty of you (including ScreenCrush’s resident expert / #1 Arnold fan Matt Singer) quite happy, as the actor and former Governator has signed on to star in an action comedy that also happens to mark the directorial debut of SNL’s Taran Killam.

Shane Black’s new Predator movie has a tentative 2018 release date, and while we’ve been promised that it will “reinvent the franchise,” not much is known about the sequel to the classic action sci-fi flick. The Nice Guy director is currently scripting The Predator with Fred Dekker, and has shed a little light (though not too much) on what we can expect, including when the film takes place and if there’s any hope of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return.

Take this news with some caution because it doesn’t necessarily mean anything just yet, but Arnold Schwarzenegger could very well reprise his Predator role for Shane Black and Fred Dekker’s upcoming sequel. The actor and former governor says he’s meeting with Black soon, so while you might not want to get your hopes up, feel free to hoard a little optimism about Schwarzenegger appearing in a new Predator film.

Terminator Genisys left audiences baffled — hardly the return to form for the franchise we’d hoped for after Terminator: Salvation (remember that movie?), and while there were some interesting / wacky ideas within, Genisys was mostly miscast and about as bland as Jai Courtney. Last we heard, the franchise’s producers assured fans that the series would continue after some “recalibrating,” but today’s update isn’t a very optimistic one for anyone who was hoping for another sequel.

NBC seems to have re-welcomed Donald Trump to the airwaves with this past Friday’s Tonight Show, but The Celebrity Apprentice will be back with a new host all the same. Trump is officially terminated, now that Arnold Schwarzenegger will get behind the desk as the newest host of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to the movies after his stint as governor of California has been filled with ups and downs, good films and bad. But one thing has remained consistent – the living legend has started showcasing a savvy online presence and a self-aware sense of humor that has re-endeared him to the digital world. Now, he’s combined all of that into a YouTube video that, while it exists solely to promote a charity, is more entertaining than any of the Terminator Genisys trailers so far.
