Make that run for Young Life, in the 2nd Annual 5K/10K race on April 21st. Chick-fil-A is the primary sponsor of the race, which raises money for Young Life of Victoria, a non-denominational Christian outreach aimed at high school aged kids. Doing it differently this year, the race will start and end at the Chick-fil-A, and will include running on Navarro, clearly the city's busiest street.

The runs begin at 7:30 that morning, and include a new event, a 10K distance run. Competitors can win money for their efforts, with a $1500 purse going to the top 3 male and female runners in the 10K. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 runners in each age group. Last years event drew around 350 participants, and organizers are shooting for over 500 this year.
