Horror and Metal go together like hand in glove, and after a successful inaugural run in 2013, Philip Anselmo is bringing back his Housecore Horror Film & Metal Festival in October of this year. Mark your calendar for Oct. 23-36 in Austin.

Last year's event showcased more than 100 films, along with performances from such bands as Down, GWAR, Goatwhore, The Melvins, Pig Destroyer and many more.

Prior to the 2013 event, Philip Anselmo stopped by the Loudwire studio to discuss what fans can expect from the film and music extravaganza.

“The Housecore Horror Film Festival, I think, and would hope, would be three days of basically sleepless, beer-drenched, absolute unity and love of heavy metal and horror, because they’ve gone hand-in-hand together forever,” said the Pantera legend at the time. Watch the full interview below.

Looks like the 2013 festival lived up to all that and more, as the event is back for 2014. Fans interested in purchasing early discounted badges can do so at this location.
