VH1's greatest cultural milestone, 'Behind the Music,' is set to re-air the program's 2006 retrospective on the career of Pantera this Saturday, April 6, at 9PM ETon VH1 Classic. However, this special airing of the Pantera documentary is dubbed, 'Behind the Music Remastered,' and the film contains new interviews with Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, 'Dimebag' Darrell's longtime girlfriend Rita Haney and many others.

Vocalist Phil Anselmo was famously unhappy with the original 'Behind the Music' special on the band, which depicted Anselmo in a very negative light. Interestingly enough, Anselmo's anger towards the 2006 'Behind the Music' episode will actually be showcased within the upcoming remastered version.

"Sorry for your f---ed up, retarded, asinine program that smeared my name to the goddamn toilets of every house in America," Anselmo says in the 'Remastered' version of the episode. "You motherf---ers didn't have to live with it, I did. I resent it — still resent it. Believe me, I've taken a good, cold, long hard f---ing stare in the mirror. I know who the f--- I am, I know the mistakes I've made. Therefore, I can move on."

In recent months, Anselmo has attempted to reach out and make peace with Pantera / Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul via various interviews, although Pantera's manager states, "I don't think Vinnie and Phil will ever make up. [Vinnie] not only lost his band, but he lost his brother. And I think he does blame Phil in some ways."

"Vince, if it takes … If it's just this wall of anger and you feel like you need to just beat me up, I'll let you," Anselmo says. "I'll let you just beat me up — as long as we can sit down after and talk. [Dimebag's] gonna be a fantastic memory in my heart 'till I hit the dirt, and when it comes to Pantera and healing, all I can say is my door is wide f---ing open. You can probably end right there."

A new teaser for the remastered 'Behind the Music' episode reveals that it will also include prominent metal musicians such as Zakk Wylde, Fear Factory's Dino Cazares, Machine Head's Robb Flynn, Trivium's Matt Heafy + many more.
