Attention all Star Wars nerds out there (myself included). Disney CEO Bob Iger announced yesterday the company's plans to open a Star Wars theme park sometime in the near future. Technically, it wouldn't be it's own stand alone theme park but most likely an add on to it's existing Hollywood Studios park. Iger called the future project "Significant".

This comes on the heels of Disney's already announced Avatar Land currently under construction at it's Animal Kingdom park. Rumors are already swirling regarding what to expect at the new Star Wars Land including plans to recreate the infamous cantina at Los Isely to a full scale replica of the Millenium Falcon.

Either way I'm curious and cautiously excited to see what comes out of it....and deep down, if you're a fan of the franchise, you are too.

Disney plans to announce specifics early next year. Stay tuned.
