Belated condolences to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, who announced several days ago that his mother, 1957 Miss Greece contestant Vassiliki Papadimitriou, passed away.

“One of the loves of my life has gone. My Dear Mother has passed,” Lee posted Friday on his Twitter page. The next day, he sent out a fitting musical tribute in the form of a link to the following YouTube clip of the song ‘Blue’ from his 2002 solo album ‘Never a Dull Moment’:

“This gravity is pulling me / On down / This time of change seems so strange / Don’t let me go, catch me / I’m fallin.. fallin through / If I’m not with you / All I wanna do is feel blue.”

According to HearEvil, Papadimitriou gave birth to Lee in 1962 in Greece, with the family moving to California the next year. Our thoughts go out to Lee and his younger sister Athena during this difficult time.
