If you caught In Flames at Rock on the Range last weekend, that memory will have to last you a while. Guitarist Bjorn Gelotte confirmed in an interview with KQXR 100.3 The X Rocks from Boise, Idaho that the group is taking some significant time away from the road to work on their next disc.

"[This is] the last 30 minutes for a year," said Gelotte in the X Rocks' video interview seen above. "We have to do another record, well, don't have to, it sounds like [I'm being punished], but I really enjoy that process. It kind of sucks a bit because I really like touring here, have a lot of friends over here and there's a lot of people coming out to the shows. It's gonna be sad to go home, but we know we're going to be back and do it the next, I don't know, 25 years."

Gelotte added that the band is not really one to write on the road and view the creative process as separate from what they do on tour, so the group will be starting fresh on their next album.

The Swedish metal outfit will be working on their eleventh studio album, the follow up to 2011's 'Sounds of a Playground Fading.' At present, there is not a timetable for the band's musical return.
