‘Hobbit’ Actor Andy Serkis Becomes Gollum During Interview, Is Possibly Crazy
Actor Andy Serkis is best known for playing Gollum, the slimy and seriously deranged little beastie from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ movies. But this clip from a recent interview with Serkis has us wondering: Is he a great actor, or is he really just as cracked and unhinged as Gollum?Â
When asked if he likes Peter Jackson’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ flicks, Serkis gives his answer in character as Gollum, and it’s just as unsettling as it is cool and unexpected.
Maybe the thought of playing the character in three more movies, after he did it in the previous trilogy, has finally made Serkis crack. It’s hard not to wonder about the number of voices possibly rattling around inside this guy’s head.
