Female fans of several major college teams are showing their school pride on Twitter. And, by school pride, we mean their boobs — showcased in cleavage-baring, skin-tight college shirts in self-shot pictures posted to Twitter.

The college-team boobs trend started last February, when University of Kansas student Tiffany Kent tweeted a photo of her boobs in a KU shirt, with the hashtag #kuboobs, as the Jayhawks were attempting to rally in a game against arch-rival Missouri. Kansas won, and Kent now has more than 20,000 followers at the Twitter handle @KUboobs. The Internet: where you can meet 20,000 random dudes who wouldn’t recognize you from the neck up.

Not to be outdone, fans of Oklahoma, Indiana, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Nebraska and many other schools have created their own @boobs profiles featuring pictures of coeds and fans showing off their team spirit by displaying their boobs like they were over-ripened cantaloupes stuffed into much-too-small plastic shopping bags. In general, the words lingerie and football have about as much in common as the words meth addict and day care. Maybe that’s why the all-female Lingerie Football League just changed their brand name to the Legends Football League.  You will be relieved to know that they didn’t change their uniforms very much, and they’re still awesome. The league, which expanded to include Canada in 2012, will swell to 16 teams in 2013 with the addition of the Atlanta Steam and the Omaha Heart. No word on whether the league will continue naming their teams after female soft rock outfits and soap operas when it expands to Europe in 2015.

The uniforms used by the players of the LFL also will change slightly, but, as evidenced by the following picture gallery, the ladies won’t be running around in sweatpants and jorts. The guys who attend these games on the other hand (ahem, us) will remain slobs.

The league has decided to use the term ‘performance wear,’ rather than lingerie, for the new garb, noting that lingerie hurt its credibility (just like J. Edgar Hoover!). If a the woman in our lives told us that she was wearing ‘performance panties,’ we’d ask for a full list of showtimes, and book early and often.

The Hellions Car Club and Miller Lite present Rumble In The Park car and bike show and concert featuring the Scott Taylor Band on Saturday, October 27th at Riverside Park in Victoria (the Grover’s Bend area of the park to be exact).  Gates open at noon and admission is only $5.

On top of all the badass cars and bikes, there will also be MIDGET WRESTLING!!  Which is similar to dwarf tossing except the dwarfs are actually tossing each other.

There will also be a Pin-Up contest (Just picture incredibly hot women walking around the park all day dressed like pin-up girls from back in the day..I know….HELL YEAH!)

There will also be a live auction benefiting Warrior’s Weekend as well as a Kid Zone, Food & Drinks, and Vendors GALORE!!

If you want to enter a car or bike in the competition, the cost is only $20 and registration is from 9-noon the day of the event.  All cars, trucks and bikes are welcome and there will be national coverage from Rat Rod Magazine!!

Ice chests are NOT allowed at this event!

It all kicks off Saturday, October 27th at noon at Riverside Park (Grover’s Bend area)

I’ll be out there biggest part of the day so come find me and say hi!  I’ll be giving out stuff all afternoon.  You can most likely find me watching the little folks kick the crap out of each other or tying not to drool on the pin-ups.

College for Creative Studies is an art  college in Detroit, and with the help of an ad agency,  they have  come up with an ad campaign to promote their curriculum, by parodying the “talk to your kids” approach, effectively used in the D.A.R.E.  anti-drug campaign. Check out these posters below via Team Detroit.

David Byrne, former front man from the always quirky Talking Heads, is an artist in the true sense of the word. Musician, songwriter, painter, director, producer, multi-instrumentalist, the list goes on. One thing he’s know for is his satirical sense of humor. Just check out some of the lyrics in songs from the Heads. Now David Byrne has put his mark on the iPhone world with some parody apps, set to be part of an art exhibit on social media.The exhibit opens next month at the Pace Gallery in New York, and it features other artists’ works on the subject too, but I thought these from Byrne, courtesy adweek.com were too good not to share.Check ‘em out!

Some bands die on the vine, some bands fade away, but some bands sound as good as they ever did! The latter was the case in Houston, when Marshall Tucker Band and Blue Oyster Cult rocked the Arena Theater on Friday Night.

Marshall Tucker Band opened the show, and it was like a visit from an old friend. It felt warm and comfortable hearing songs like “24 Hours at a Time”, “Bob Away My Blues”, and “Can’t You See.”

Blue Oyster Cult came out fired up, and they also hit on the familiar, with songs like “Burnin’ For You”, “Godzilla”, and “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”, but it was really cool to hear lesser know gems like “Then Came The Last Days of May”, and the energy and great fretwork of “Buck’s Boogie” in the mix. The band has several new faces, but the core of Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma keep it feeling and sounding like B.O.C., and add legendary bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio) and you’ve got one hell of a band!  Check out some more pics from the show.

According to rumors around the web, Adrianne Palicki, who starred as the character Tyra Collette in “Friday Night Lights”, was the only actress invited to test for the role. As such, it appears she’s landed the coveted role for the NBC pilot written by David E. Kelley (of Ally McBeal fame) and will be the first TV Wonder Woman since Linda Carter retired the golden lasso.

In the conversations around the water cooler in regards to who should play the role of Wonder Woman, the most repeated argument was, “No way, she’s too short.” Standing at 5′ 11″, that argument can’t be made for the casting of Palicki. She even went so far as to play basketball in high school if you were thinking about going the athleticism argument route.

There are sure to be some rants and raves about who would and wouldn’t be a more perfect choice for the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman but it would appear that this is the final choice. And it may very well be the right one but only the pilot will tell.

But there was another game…

While the Packers and Steelers were duking it out, so were the lovely ladies of the Los Angeles Temptations and the Philadelphia Passions.

They just looked better doing it. See for yourself if you don’t believe me…
