We haven't seen very much from FX's summer offering 'The Bridge,' adapting the Danish/Swedish drama of the same name, apart from the eerie 'No Country For Old Men'-style teasers. That all changes with the border patrol drama's first trailer, but will 'The Bridge' prove exciting enough to cross over viewer interest? Check out our first real look at 'The Bridge' inside!

As violently as we eye-roll that 'The Bridge' features a lead character with a last name of Cross, the first look at FX's new border drama proves suitably unsettling. The new drama debuting on FX July 10 features Diane Kruger and Demián Bichir in a remake of the Danish series set between Denmark and Sweden, developed by ‘Homeland‘ writer/executive producer Meredith Stiehm and ‘Hawaii Five-0‘ producer Elwood Reid

‘The Bridge’ follows one detective from the United States and one from Mexico, who must work together to hunt down a serial killer operating on both sides of the US-Mexican border, particularly after a gruesome murder lands smack on the border between the two countries. Suffice to say, significantly less-than-wacky hijinks ensue.
