Although Jesse Leach has been killing it with Killswitch Engage ever since his return to the band last year, it's safe to say that the voice of Howard Jones is sorely missed in the rock world. Jones left Killswitch Engage so he could manage his Type 2 Diabetes more efficiently, among other reasons. He has been jamming with his old math core band Blood Has Been Shed, but now it's been reported that Jones is working on yet another project with members of All Shall Perish and Devolved.

Howard Jones has not fronted an album since Killswitch Engage's 2009 self-titled record. There has also been no new Blood Has Been Shed album since 2003's 'Spirals.' So when will we hear the booming warmth of Howard Jones again? The answer may have just been uncovered by Heavy Blog Is Heavy.

The website reports that an acquaintance did a little snooping around the Facebook page of music industry veteran Mike Gitter, and a curious piece of information was unveiled. Although no longer found in Gitter's 'About' section, a passage reportedly read:

2011-2013: … [I reunited] with [my] old cohort Mr. Howard Jones in a brand new band with guys from All Shall Perish and Devolved.

Gitter's Facebook page also currently shows that he is the manager for 'Howard Jones Band,' likely a placeholder name for an untitled project.

Metal Injection decided to do some investigation of their own after the news of a Howard Jones project was revealed. According to the website, an anonymous source was able to confirm that Jones is, in fact, starting a new group. "We can confirm that this is a real project," reveals Metal Injection's reporter. "I can also confirm that another member of the project is All Shall Perish guitarist Francesco Artusato. My source also says it's still very early in the process but they are writing material.

Stay tuned for more updates on Howard Jones' next project as news breaks.
