Deputies Searching Area of US 59, Fox Road After Bailout

Victoria County deputies are searching for 5 people who bailed out of a car after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 59 South Thursday morning.

Two individuals, who are thought to be in the country illegally, have already been detained, Sheriff T. Michael O'Connor said.

The bailout happened at about 8:30 a.m. near Fox Road. The deputy tried to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation and seven people jumped out and ran.

This coming after an even bigger bailout happening yesterday in DeWitt County.

Seems to be somewhat of an epidemic lately.
