Feng's son Xiao had been a good student with a promising future. But according to Feng, who lives with his son in China, Xiao got really into video games in high school and his obsession was such that he hadn't found a job or moved out of the house by 23.

So to cure Xiao of his addiction, Feng got creative. He hired online hitmen to go into Xiao's favorite role playing games and keep killing him, in hopes that would sour his son on the virtual world and encourage him to get a job in the real one.

Did his plan work? Well, the hired guns did have the skills to execute Xiao's avatar over and over.  But, dedicated gamer that he was, Xiao wasn't deterred and continued to play.

He did however, come to an understanding with his dad, by declaring "I can play or I can not play, it doesn't bother me. I'm not looking for any job—I want to take some time to find one that suits me."

According the Chinese news service People's Daily, Feng was "relieved" by his son's explanation. However they weren't able to determine whether or not he called off his unconventional assassins.
