Many share mixed opinions about sitcom magnate Chuck Lorre, and his CBS comedy monopoly that includes 'The Big Bang Theory,' 'Two and a Half Men' and 'Mike & Molly,' but will upcoming pilot 'Mom' prove the most star-studded yet? In addition to comedienne Anna Faris in the lead role of the buzz-worthy pilot, veteran actress Allison Janney has signed on in the regular role of Faris' own 'Mom.' Find out the latest on Chuck Lorre's new sitcom 'Mom' inside!

Whether or not CBS sitcom fans are ready for yet a fourth Chuck Lorre half-hour to hit the network, upcoming pilot project 'Mom' is quickly becoming a star-studded affair. In addition to the casting of Anna Faris as the titular 'Mom,' former 'The West Wing' star Allison Janney has joined the pilot in the role of Faris' own mom, Bonnie.

Featuring Faris as a newly sober single mother trying to get her life together in scenic Napa Valley, California, ‘Mom’ has received a pilot production order, to be produced with ‘Two And A Half Men’ executive producer Eddie Gorodetsky and story editor Gemma Baker. The series also marks Lorre’s first female-centric comedy since 1990′s hits ‘Grace Under Fire’ and ‘Cybill.’

Should ‘Two and a Half Men’ make it to an eleventh season, ‘Mom’ would mark Chuck Lorre’s fourth CBS sitcom on the air, if also given a green light.

What say you? Could 'Mom' be Lorre's best CBS sitcom to date? Tell us what you think of Allison Janney's casting in the comments!
