Over the years, Hollywood has taught us one thing -- it's easy to churn out movies based on video games, but a whole lot more difficult to make them watchable. For every semi-decent 'Resident Evil' or 'Tomb Raider' flick, there's a stinker like 'Silent Hill,' 'Doom,' 'Bloodrayne,' 'Wing Commander' and, perhaps worst of all, 'Super Mario Bros.'

In one of the more bizarre yet cooler crossovers, the 'Angry Birds: Star Wars' game is now available for purchase. The trailer begins with an homage to 'Star Wars: A New Hope' as two Angry Birds, one dressed as Luke Skywalker and the other as Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, enter the iconic Mos Eisley bar on Tattooine.

PBS, yes that PBS, has released this awesome video highlighting and celebrating some of the most creative minds in gaming -- the independent game developers.

This is just too awesome for words.  The Ohio State University marching band only has 1 week between games to learn a new routine.  Not a whole hell of a lot of time.  But this particular routine is just epic....truly epic.  They decided to pay homage to video games past and present...
