These are busy times for Mark Tremonti. Fans lucky enough to attend last night's taping of ABC's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' were treated to an outdoor gig by Alice in Chains. The televised portion of the show aired AIC's performance of their current single 'Stone' off their upcoming album 'The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here.' Watch all three performances below.
Steel Panther is a band that knows how to put on a show. The L.A.-based group pays tribute to the glory days of hair metal, but they do it with tongue planted firmly in cheek, their personas always over the top. With song titles like 17 Girls In A Row, Death To All But Metal and Community Property, their songs always displaying adult humor, while showing their real musical talent.
Their live shows are always an experience with lots of off the wall banter and sex jokes that fit in with their brand of rock & roll. What's also cool about their shows is when there are other musicians in the audience, and the band invites them up on stage. Check out this video from a show in 2011, where Vinnie Paul, Chad Kroeger and members of Lizzie Borden were in the audience. It's starts a little slow as they try to decide what song to play. They get it going with a cool version of Van Halen's You Really Got Me, but stick with it, because it gets more interesting around the 10:40 mark when Chad Kroeger plays the drums on a rather impressive take on Hot For Teacher. The dude really can play! Warning:: NSFW language.
