Although I grew up in a city with a Major League team, we didn't have anything like the Victoria Generals. How cool is it that we can see some of the best potential Major Leaguers play, right in our own back yard? The Victoria Generals fell to the Alexandria Aces Saturday night 5-1, but managed a split in the 2-game series, as they gear up for the Texas Collegiate League All-Star game tonight, and the 2nd half of the season.
The Victoria Generals host this years Texas Collegiate League All-Star Game this Monday, and the team also has the most players of any team in the league to be selected to this year's game with 9. The game will be split up in a north-south format with the Generals out front for the South, followed by the Arcadiana Cane Cutters and the Woodland Strykers. Meanwhile, the North will be led by the Alexandria Aces, Brazos Valley Bombers, Texas Marshals, and East Texas Pump Jacks.
