The children will get a Christmas party where Santa rides in on a motorcycle, leading a caravan of riders, who make the run from La Salle to Methodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio, where the kids are being treated. The Victoria Generals are facing a 3rd game against the East Texas Pump Jacks tonight, following a 7-4 loss last night to even the series at 1-1.
After winning the first game of the TCL Championship Series on Monday night in Victoria 5-3, the Generals traveled to Kilgore last night and came up short in game two against the East Texas Pump Jacks. The two teams will meet for the decisive third game tonight in Kilgore for the 2012 Texas Collegiate League Championship.
The Victoria Generals are one step closer to the Texas Collegiate League Championship, after beating the Texas Pump Jacks 5-3 last night at Riverside Stadium. Ace pitcher Jordan Pacheco kept the game under control, giving up just one hit early, then managing to keep the Pump Jacks from scoring for six straight innings. Covey Morrow came on in the eighth inning in relief of Pacheco and struggled as he gave up two runs on three hits to cut the lead to 5-3. Tanner Green then relieved Morrow and picked up the final out of the inning on a come-backer that he fielded himself and tossed to first base.
