One can probably pretty well imagine what kinds of contraband makes its way behind bars, items like drugs, items to help an inmate escape, weapons, and nuisance items, just to name a few. In Canada however, along with the above items, prison officials say they have taken some pretty unusual items, including a raw chicken, and even a snow tire.  Wait, What?!Yes, according to a report from the Vancouver Sun, officials listed confiscated items taken between January 2008 and October of 2010, and there were some rather strange things, at least for the inside of a prison.

A wooden crab trap was taken from one prisoner's cell, while another was hiding seven pounds of rice. Guards made one seizure of a package of uncooked bacon and another of a full case of fig cookies.

One inmate was apparently planning a feast, but guards thwarted that by taking away a cooked turkey breast complete with stuffing and a side of cranberries.

How in the world was he planning on cooking up this feast, anyway? Maybe he was going to have someone sneak in an oven.
