There's a slight change of plans for this weekend's Bootfest celebration in downtown Victoria-the fireworks show has been moved from Saturday night to Friday night.

Victoria Convention and Visitor's Bureau Director LaRue Roth said "we're going to have great weather for Bootfest, but if the north wind blows too hard Saturday night, the fireworks show cannot be shot, so we have moved the show to Friday night so everyone can enjoy it."

The last-minute change was due to event organizers learning about a dry cool front moving into the area Saturday evening.  The National Weather Service says the front will bring mostly cloudy skies, windy conditions, a slight chance of rain, and temperatures in the mid 50's Saturday night.

The fireworks will be set off Friday night at 11pm after the Stoney LaRue performance, from atop the One O' Connor Plaza building in downtown Victoria.
