The Brazos Valley Bombers took 2 in a row from the Victoria Generals at Riverside Stadium, with a 3-2 win last night.

It was a close game most of the night, but the Bombers managed to pull the win out on an RBI single by Horacio Correa.

With the loss, the Generals fall to 13-7 on the season and the Bombers improve to 17-3.

Jason Freeman picked up the win in relief for the Bombers tossing 1.2 innings with four strikeouts.  Chase Angelle took the loss for the Generals.

Romeo Cortina led the Generals offensive attached with two of the team’s five hits.

The Generals will travel to Bryan tonight to take on the Bombers in the first game of a two-game road series.  It will be the first of six straight road games for the Generals.  The Generals do not return home until Saturday, June 29 to take on the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
