Former Houston Astros and current Toronto Blue Jay's pitcher J.A. Happ is in stable condition at a Tampa hospital after suffering a 100 mph line drive right to the skull.

It happened in the 2nd inning of last night's Blue Jays/Rays game in Tampa.  Tampa's Desmond Jennings swing at a 3-2 pitch from Happ and...well....the video below tells the rest of the story.  Happ was stretchered off the field.  The good news, he was coherent and speaking all the way to the hospital.

No word yet as to when Happ may be released. As a precautionary measure doctors want to run additional tests to make sure there is no long term damage.
