Have you ever really wanted a carnival prize but couldn’t win it no matter how hard you tried? Peter Drakos doesn’t have that problem. In fact, the 64 year old Detroit resident may just be the best carnival game player in the world.

Drakos began playing carnival games at the age of nine and won enough stuffed animals to give one to each of the 200 children at his school. Year later, Drakos is still on a hot streak and has won an average of 5,500 prizes each year since 1972.

Drakos is so good at games like the bottle throw and ring toss that many carnivals across the nation have placed limits on the number of prizes a single player can win. “I don’t want to say it’s all because of me, but it’s all because of me,” he said proudly.

Still, Drakos doesn’t keep all the prizes for himself. He’s donated almost 250,000 toys to 50 charities for needy children over the years. “Sometimes it brings tears to your eyes because you know that they’re really happy,” he said.

It’s official. Next time we hit the boardwalk, we definitely want this guy by our side.
