Adele’s “Skyfall” Wins Best Original Song at the 2013 Oscars

Adele was honored with the 2013 Oscar for Best Original Song for her theme song to the latest James Bond flick ‘Skyfall‘ of the same name.
The Best Original Song category for the 2013 Oscars included such titles as  âBefore My Timeâ from âChasing Ice,’ âPiâs Lullaby’ from âLife of Pi,’ âSuddenlyâ from âLes Miserablesâ and âEverybody Needs a Best Friedâ from âTed.â But if you really think about it, did any of them stand a chance of beating Adele?
Though “Skyfall” was the first song from a Bond film to be nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars since 1981â²s âFor Your Eyes Only,â the song became an instant hit. Aside from winning in the same category at the 2013 Golden Globes, Adele performed the theme during Sunday’s Oscars ceremony, hosted by Seth MacFarlane, making it the first time the Grammy winner performed the song live.
