Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is on the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, a decision that has sparked a negative reaction online.

The cover, a position normally occupied by rock stars and figures in pop culture, is set to accompany a profile of the most infamous and possibly hated men in the U.S. An online post at RollingStone.com about the cover contained more than 1,000 comments, many of them criticizing the decision. On the magazine’s Facebook page, an image of the cover had generated over 10,000 comments, a number of them expressing outrage.

A number of stores nationwide have refused to sell the issue and I can't say I blame them. I always thought Rolling Stone was a great magazine to showcase up and coming talent along side legendary acts but I would have to agree that this is kind of pushing the envelope a little....and not in a good way.

No word yet whether any merchants in the Victoria area have decided not to sell this issue but I'm sure there will be. Check back for updates.
